Kia Ora.
Welcome back after lockdown number two, I hope you are all healthy and looking forward to our time together.
Many thanks to our committee member who set up morning teas at the Spring café when the Library wasn’t available to us, while I was kept busy with family concerns. The list of attendees will be passed on to our vice-chairperson, who is the keeper of the lists.
As we have our belated AGM next month, we are still looking for someone to act as secretary. We have an able treasurer, and I hope she’ll agree to continue in her role. Our de facto Christmas Parade organiser and activities director has worked very hard in his role, he is a great addition. May I ask for people to indicate their interest in any free roles, or to propose a new direction for us after our unexpected hiatus? And as a democratic group, anyone that wishes to (self) nominate a new chairperson (or possible the current one) will be welcome. If you are unable to make it there, please let us know your preferences ahead of time. We will hand out ballots the week before the AGM.
After we have checked on the well being of our existing group members, attracting new people will be a priority too.
Nga Mihi,
Linda Poll de Honores.
