A review of 2019

To everyone involved with the Feilding Multicultural Group, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Our library morning teas are continuing all year, even during the holiday weeks, as some of us don't have much family here in New Zealand and really enjoy meeting up.

We've had an eventful year, with two murals completed, and one able to be viewed at Makino Pool, the surprise resignation of our founder and Chairperson Ellen Witt, and the election of a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, as well as a new committee.

We've started a new website, gotten a new phone number, had our monthly committee meetings with quorum being achieved every time, an impressive feat by our hardworking new committee members.

We've also had a trip to visit Ian MacKelvie at Parliament, and had an enjoyable lunch with him, as well as a very interesting guided tour.

We had a Bollywood dance lesson, and more are being planned next year.

Some of our members were inspired to make a Christmas float for the parade, despite short notice, and managed to present a very nice effort, with everyone involved making flags for it.

Fundraising is being planned for a trip next year, watch this space!

We'd like to thank the Feilding Public Library for hosting us, for more than two years already, where does the time go?
